But rushing into a new relationship sometimes doesn't end well, because when we're looking for an escape, we sometimes assume that the next person must be better off, and we tend to overestimate what we see in that person.

Especially when you're looking for an escape for revenge, you'll probably stay angry at your partner as much as you are angry at your partner and that's not healthy. So being single for a while might be a good option, because then you can give yourself time to re-recognize yourself as yourself, not someone you left behind.

Waiting too long isn't good either, as you may convince yourself that you won't be able to find a partner again for good. Take your time, and get back into your routine and trying to find a partner when you're really ready.
